Located in the Janakpur zone, Sindhuli district covers a section of 2,491sq km with Sindhulimadhi as its district headquarters is bordered by Udayapur and Siraha in east, Rautahat, and Kavreplanchok within the west, Ramechap, and Okhaldhunga in north and Sarlahi, Mohattari and Dhanusa district within the south. In 2011 it had a population of 296,192.

Sindhuli Gadhi: This is an area of historical significance situated at a distance of around twenty kilometers from the headquarter Sindhuli Maadi.
