Rasuwa District is one of the 75 districts of Nepal, a landlocked country Nepal, South Asia. The district, with Dhunche as its district headquarters, covers an area of 1,544 km² and has a population As per census (2011)is 43,300where you can find total households in Rasuwa district is 9,778 which is the smallest district by area, among 16 districts in the Himalaya region of Nepal.
Gosainkunda Lake: One of most famous religious places of pilgrimage is Gosainkunda lake situated at an altitude of about 4360 m from sea-level which is Surrounded by high mountains on the north and east which can be grand and picturesque. There are other many lakes but nine famous lakes such as Saraswati, Bhairav, Sourya, and Ganesh Kunda. Every year during Janai Purnima(festivals) in August, Many of Hindu pilgrims come here to lake holy bathe in the lake. The large rock in the center of the lake is said to be the remains of a Shiva shrine which is also claimed that channel carries water from the lake directly to the tank at the Kumbheshwar Temple in Patan, about 60 km to the south.
